Recently, the methanol dual fueled Newcastlemax bulk carrier, jointly developed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding and China Ship Design & Research Center has been approved in AIP certification by ABS.
The Newcastlemax bulk carrier is Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding's main vessel. It has received 35 orders for fuel, LNG dual fuel and ammonia fuel READY ships, and has successfully delivered eight ships to customers.
