On August 19, Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of CSSC, held a steel cutting ceremony for the first 7,600CEU LNG dual fuel PCTC for SAIC Anji Logistics.

The vessel is designed with a total length of 199.9 meters, a width of 38 meters, a depth of 15.5 meters, a structural draft of 10.2 meters, and a service speed of 19 knots. It is a new generation Panamamax PCTC, and will be classified into DNV and CCS.

SAIC Anji Logistics, a unit of China's biggest automaker SAIC Motor, ordered two 7,600CEU LNG powered PCTCs in October last year.

CSSC's Jiangnan expects to deliver these two vessels in March and September 2024.
