Wan Hai purchased 4 3000TEU container ships from CSBC Taiwan Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-08-15 14:59

On August 12, Wan Hai Lines announced that it would buy four 3000TEU container ships from CSBC Corporation Taiwan, with a total transaction amount of US $212 million to US $220 million.
 
The first of the four ships is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of next year, and the rest will be delivered in the second and third quarters of next year.
 
Wan Hai still has a gap after the delivery of new ships this year and next, so it has purchased 4 container ships to replace the chartered ships and expired old ships.
 
Wan Hai will build a total of 12 new ships in 2022, 4 2038TEU ships have been delivered, and 8 new ships will be delivered before the end of the year, including 6 3013TEU ships, 2 13100TEU ships, and 8 second-hand ships, a total of 20 ships have been delivered. In 2023, a total of 20 new ships will be built, including 10 3000TEU ships, 10 13000TEU ships, and 4 newly purchased 3000TEU ships, a total of 24 ships will be delivered.
