July 25 -- The first North Bund Forum debuted last November. Guided by Chinese President Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter to the 2021 forum, a video program called North Bund Forum High-end Interview will be launched to improve the quality of the event.

 

The program, jointly produced by the Organizing Committee Office of the North Bund Forum and Yicai Media Group, and supported by the Maritime Technology Cooperation Center for Asia, will be published on the official websites of the forum and Yicai.

 

Focusing on green development, intelligence, and decarbonization, the interview will invite eight renowned representatives from international organizations, leading firms, and authorities in the global shipping and civil aviation fields to share their in-depth views on hot and cutting-edge topics, as well as supply chain integration and soft environment construction.

 

Participants will include Arsenio Dominguez, director of the Marine Environment Division of the International Maritime Organization; Quah Ley Hoon, chief executive officer of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore; Bin Xu, chief expert at Bank of Communications and secretary of the CPC Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Committee; Soren Toft, CEO of Mediterranean Shipping; Qiang Fan, vice president of the China Classification Society; and Stephen Gordon, managing director of Clarksons Research.

 

Two leading experts in civil aviation are also in the process of confirming their participation.

 

Co-hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and China's Ministry of Transport, the North Bund Forum aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the international shipping and civil aviation industries to facilitate their healthy and sustainable development and enhance the prosperity of the global economy and trade.

 

As Shanghai is becoming an international shipping center of increasing global influence, the North Bund Forum will keep serving as an international, high-end, and professional platform for sharing views and insights, releasing important policies, and developing rules and regulations for the industries.
