China's first semi-refrigerated and semi-pressurized LPG/NH3/VCM carrier is ordered Xinde Marine News 2022-06-15 10:34

On June 13, Shenghang Shipping announced that it plans to order a 5500m3 semi-refrigerated and semi-pressurized LPG/NH3/VCM carrier at CMI Jinling (Yangzhou) Shipyard.
 
The ship is the first semi-refrigerated and semi-pressurized LPG/NH3/VCM carrier in China, with 4050 deadweight tons. It can not only carry out international transport business, but also complete domestic trade transport tasks.
 
The lowest design temperature of cargo tank is -48oC, and the design pressure is 5barg. It is made of low-temperature resistant carbon manganese steel and coated with thermal insulation layer, and equipped with advanced low-temperature oil-free refrigeration compressor unit. The ship can not only load low-temperature liquid ammonia, low-temperature propylene, low-temperature propane, but also LPG, butadiene, VCM and other normal temperature goods.
 
In 2021, Shenghang Shipping was approved to build a 7,450 DWT chemical vessel and a 5,050 cubic meter LPG vessel. Both of the new ships were built by CMI Jinling (Yangzhou) Shipyard.
 
The first 7,450 DWT stainless steel chemical vessel was delivered on June 2.
 
The 7450 DWT stainless steel chemical vessel is 119.88 meters long, 18 meters wide, with a design draft of 6.7 meters and a speed of 13.5 knots. It has entered CCS Classification Society.
