COSCO SHIPPING Holdings posted a net profit of 27.6 billion yuan in Q1 Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-05-06 16:43

On April 29, COSCO SHIPPING Holdings released its results for the first quarter of 2022. In the first quarter of this year, the company achieved operating income of 105.53 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 62.75%; Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 27.617 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 78.73%.

In the first quarter of 2022, the global economic recovery slowed down due to multiple factors such as repeated COVID-19 outbreaks, geopolitical conflicts and inflation.

In the face of long-term port congestion and inland transportation delays, it is still difficult to fully release the effective shipping capacity of the container shipping industry, and the market supply and demand relationship is still tense.

Under the severe situation of the spread of the global epidemic, COSCO's digital strategy increasingly reflects the advantages of anti-risk. Through its foreign trade e-commerce platform (SynCon Hub) and intelligent customer service platform (ICSP) and other digital platforms, the company provides customers with online services in all aspects of container transportation.

At the same time, with the continuous growth and maturity of the core products of GSBN, the adverse impact of the epidemic has been minimized.

In the future, COSCO SHIPPING Holdings will play an active role in ensuring smooth logistics in the global supply chain, provide better services to customers and create greater value for shareholders.
