CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping agrees purchase of car carriers in sale and leaseback deal Hong Kong Maritime Hub 2022-01-26 10:18


Hong Kong-based financial leasing form CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping will acquire two 6,700 ceu vessels from Norway's Gram Car Carriers in a sale and leaseback agreement.
 
In line with details of the transaction, CSSC Shipping will pay US$70m for the 2015-built Viking Adventure and Viking Bravery.
 
The vessels will be chartered back for a period of 96 months, at a total charter-hire estimated to be US$86.3m, including lease interest of US$15.3m. Gram will repurchase the vessels at the expiry of the charter.
