DSIC signed a large order for 6 container ships + 4 bulk carriers Xinde Marine News Sarah Yu 2022-01-24 11:24

At the beginning of 2022, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, a subsidiary of CSSC, signed a construction contract for six dual-fuel 16,000TEU container ships with a well-known European shipowner, and signed a construction contract for four 37,000DWT great lake bulk carriers with Polish shipowner PZM.

In the context of the increasing pressure on global environmental protection and emission reduction, DSIC has made its ships meet EEDI phase III indicators, and actively practice the mission of global green development.

The dual-fuel 16000TEU container ship has a total length of 366 meters, a width of 51 meters and a depth of 30.2 meters. This type of ship can effectively reduce the GHG emissions and meet the requirements of the latest IMO environmental protection regulations.
The 37,000DWT great lake bulk carrier project has a total length of 199.99 meters, a width of 23.70 meters, a depth of 15.60 meters, and a design draft of 10.70 meters. The ship meets IMO 2025 EEDI phase III.

The undertaking of this project marks the return of DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Base to the great lake bulk carrier market, and will make more full use of the performance experience and production resources of the Shanhaiguan base.
