SIPG Awards CMA CGM 3rd Carrier of the Year CMA CGM China 2022-01-19 17:20

On January 7th, Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) convened 2022 Container Business Consultation Annual Meeting in Pudong District, Shanghai. Senior executives from major domestic and foreign carriers attended the meeting and exchanged views with the Port of Shanghai on further promoting Shanghai as an international shipping center and enhancing the competitiveness of Shanghai as a global shipping hub.

During the meeting, SIPG awarded the CMA CGM Group for ranking NO.3 in the list of SIPG Container Throughput 2021. Ludovic Renou, CEO of CMA CGM China, joined the meeting on behalf of the CMA CGM Group and received the award from Mr. Gu Jinshan, Chairman of SIPG. Ludovic Renou delivered a speech at the meeting and put forward the suggestions of the CMA CGM group on how efforts shall be made to strengthen Shanghai's status as a global shipping hub. Perspectives on sustainability and decarbonization, digitalization and innovation, laws and regulations have been shared and well-received by the participants.
The year of 2021 has been extraordinary but also very challenging for both the CMA CGM Group and SIPG. Looking into the future, the CMA CGM Group looks forward to bringing our friendship to a higher level. CMA CGM remains steadfast in our belief that SIPG will continue to be our trusted partners in the future, and we look forward to work with SIPG closely in 2022 promoting the port of Shanghai as an international shipping center.
