On December 2nd, RINA issued the Ammonia Fuel Supply System AIP for CSSC power group, this is the first AIP certificate for a marine ammonia fuel supply system in China.
This system was independently developed by CSSC power group with strong technical supports from RINA, comprehensively analyzed and designed according to special characteristics of ammonia. It also designed in strict accordance with IGF rules and RINA class rule on ammonia fuelled ships, relying on the deep knowledge and rich experiences of CSSC power group in multi-fuel engines, LNG supply systems and other fields.
During the design process, CSSC power group and RINA have kept depth communication in the ammonia fuel gas properties, system principles, process of safety and reliability, comprehensively improved drawing design, and finally obtained the AIP certificate after RINA's evaluations.
