ICBC Leasing signed a contract to order two Newcastlemax large dry bulk cargo carriers.
 
ICBC Leasing will contract to build two 210,000DWT bulk carriers in COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou). It is expected that the delivery time will be 2023, and the cost of each ship will be about US $63.5 million, the total price of the two ships will reach about US $127 million.
 
Zhejiang Xiehai Group is the actual shipowner behind these orders, and ICBC Leasing provided financing services.
 
Zhejiang Xiehai Group has 6 Panamax and below ships. However, according to the latest report, the company actually owns 21 ships, including 12 chartered ships. At present, it also has many capesize and Panamax ships.
 
However, at present, the company is developing towards further large-scale ships. In August this year, Xiehai Group ordered two 210,000DWT bulk carriers in Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, which are planned to be delivered by the end of 2023 at a unit price of US $60 million.
