CDB Leasing purchased 16 bulk carriers for 688 million yuan xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-11-10 15:23


On November 9, CDB Leasing issued an announcement and reached an agreement with Zhongxin Shipping (Tianjin) on the purchase and charter of 16 bulk carriers.
 
According to the announcement, the 16 wholly-owned SPV companies of CDB Leasing and the original buyer, seller 1 and seller 2 entered into a shipbuilding contract transfer agreement on November 9, 2021, at a consideration of RMB 688 million.
 
The original buyer was Zhongxin Shipping (Tianjin), which had previously entered into a 16 bulk carrier shipbuilding contract with the seller Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Shipbuilding Industry and Huanghai Shipbuilding.
 
8 ships are expected to be delivered in November 2021 and 8 ships in December 2021. After the completion of the transaction under the shipbuilding contract transfer agreement, the new buyer will act as the shipowner and sign an operating charter contract with the original buyer.
 
CDB Leasing stated that the conclusion of the shipbuilding contract transfer agreement is conducive to giving full play to the advantages of all parties, is conducive to increasing the company's market share in the ship market, and is in line with the company's development strategy.
