On 6th Nov, "MOBY FANTASY" -- the first vessel of Moby Series, completed its undocking and was launched in GSI shipyard.
It is a record-breaking roro passenger: 237m, Gross tonnage 67000, 550 cabins, 2500 passengers, 3800 lane meters for vehicles, Speed 23.5 knots and Classification by RINA.
The new ship will be slower in speed than the most modern ships currently in use by Moby, but it is more fuel efficient. Using Wärtsilä9L46F diesel engine with the speed of 23.5 knots, the fuel consumption will be reduced by about 30%. In addition, it is LNG-ready and will become a new benchmark.
During the dock erection, various special teams of the shipyard stood in no fear of difficulties, formulated strict production plans and technology in facing of the high requirements.
RINA's surveyors also devoted themselves to the project, working overtime day and night. All the efforts made vessel have high integrity and good docking off state, creating a good condition for its Jetty Outfitting.
