On October 21, 2021, Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bestway Marine&Energy Technology, and China Shipbuilding Trading signed a cooperation agreement on the export of six 5,200dwt multi-purpose ships that came into effect as the follow-up option of the German shipowner JSP Coaster Verwaltungs GmbH.

The 5,200dwt multi-purpose ship equipped with a CPP main propulsion system, meeting IMO Tier III emission requirements, having strong economic applicability, energy saving and environmental protection, stable market demand, and meeting the requirements of 1A icebreaking class. It is favored by European shipowners and is a development trend of the European coastal ship market in the future.

At present, the project has entered into force 6 + 6 ships. This signing is an alternative option six ship cooperative export agreement, which is the first cooperation between the two sides. The recognition of such ship types in the European market will lay a solid foundation for more cooperation in the future.
