Huangpu Wenchong wins orders for 4 multi-purpose vessels xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-10-27 16:53

Singapore-based multi-purpose vessel operator AAL has expanded its fleet by purchasing two 33,000dwt second-hand multi-purpose vessels and announced plans to add at least four new 32,000dwt new multi-purpose vessels (MPP).
 
According to VesselsValue, AAL Mars built in 2011 and AAL Merkur built in 2010 were acquired for $10.3 million and $10.9 million, respectively.
 
These two ships were formerly named "Warnow Mars" and "Warnow Merkur", and they have been serving the operators' fleets in a commercial manner.
 
The new MPP ship will be built in Huangpu Wenchong, equipped with 3 heavy-duty cranes with a maximum lifting capacity of 700 tons.
 
The order price has not been disclosed for the time being. The new ship is scheduled to be delivered in 2024. The new ship will fully comply with the upcoming IMO carbon dioxide emission regulations.
