Since 2021, the overall international shipbuilding market has been significantly boosted, and the global demand for new ships has rebounded significantly.
 
According to Clarkson data, in the first three quarters, more than 350 shipowners around the world invested in shipbuilding, and signed a total of 1,475 new ship orders with a total of 99.631 million dwt. In terms of deadweight tonnage, a year-on-year increase of 220.8%.
 
Among them, in September, the global contracted orders for 136 ships and 7.816 million dwt, increased by 50.2% month-on-month and 128.3% year-on-year. In the short term, the international shipbuilding market will remain active.
 
From the perspective of the concentration of shipowners' orders, the top 10 shipowners' total ordering volume is 283 ships with 30.844 million dwt, and the global share has increased from 28.9% in January to August to 29.4%.
