The container shipping market is still in a state where it is difficult to find one ship, but Evergreen has entered the peak of delivery. In addition to the two newly built world's largest 24,000TEU container ships that have been put into operation one after another, "Ever Given" will also be put into operation again after maintenance, and three large ships helping performance continue to hit new highs.
 
After the first vessel "EVER ACE" delivered at the end of July, Evergreen's second 24000TEU vessel "EVER ACT" has also been put into the Far East-Europe on September 10. The third ship "EVER AIM" is expected to be delivered and operated on October 28 and arrive at Port of Hamburg on December 8.
 
In August of this year, Evergreen's operating revenue reached a new high, reaching NT$50.021 billion (approximately RMB 11.66 billion), a monthly increase of 9% and an annual increase of 164.79%. In the first eight months of accumulation, Evergreen's operating revenue reached NT$285.82 billion (approximately 66.626 billion yuan), an annual increase of 131.72%, which also set a new high and surpassed last year's annual revenue of NT$207.282 billion.
 
At present, the serious imbalance between supply and demand of market capacity and port congestion have become problems in the entire supply chain. As the container shipping market ushered in the industry's traditional peak season, the supply and demand of shipping capacity was seriously unbalanced, and port congestion continued to deteriorate, resulting in high freight rates.
 
Under the predicament of a general shortage of ships in the market, Evergreen has a large amount of new capacity to fill the gap this year. In particular, there are still 11 new ships to be delivered in the fourth quarter. The total capacity for the whole year will increase by 263,900 TEU (18%). The capacity increase next year is also estimated to be around 15%.
 
Analysts believe that Evergreen will enter the peak period of delivery in the second half of the year, and the new capacity will be the boost to Evergreen's operational growth. With the addition of two ultra-large ships to operations, Evergreen's September performance will continue to soar.
