China's LNG imports are expected to surpass Japan to become the world's largest importer by 2021, and the rapid growth of China's LNG market is becoming a key driver for Chinese shipping companies to win.

With the official signing of the long-term LNG purchase and sale agreement between CNOOC and Qatar Petroleum, the first batch of orders for the "100 Ships Plan" of Qatar Gas, a subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum, has finally gone to Chinese shipyards.

Hudong Zhonghua won the first order of Qatar LNG 100 Ships Plan

On October 3, Qatar Gas announced that Hudong Zhonghua will build the first four 174,000 CBM LNG carriers in its 100 Ships Plan.

This also marks that "Made in China" and the CSSC brand has once again won the world's approval, and will certainly create a new era for China's LNG ship construction projects.
