On September 24, the global ro-ro ship professional forum Shippax released the list of 2021 winners. China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) was listed again. The first 7800CEU ro-ro ship built for Grimaldi in Italy won Shippax Ro-Ro Technology and Environment Award.

Shippax Award was founded in 1999 and is considered the most authoritative and prestigious award in the ferry, Ro-Ro and cruise industries.
This is also the third consecutive time that Jinling shipyard (Nanjing) won this award after 12,000DWT ro-ro series built for Toll in Australia in 2019 and the 6700CEU ro-ro ship built for DFDS in Denmark in 2020 were awarded Shippax annual best technological innovation ship award.
