Since the beginning of this year, the international vehicle carrier market has recovered. China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) has received frequent good news by relying on the brand and reputation of ro-ro projects over the years.

Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) has successively received orders for three 7000CEU dual fuel vehicle carriers, leading the field of global ro-ro ship construction.

Signed an order with "K"Line for 2 dual fuel vehicle carriers

Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) and Japan's "K"Line formally signed a contract for the construction of two 7000CEU dual-fuel vehicle carriers. This is also the first cooperation between the two parties.

The vehicle carrier signed this time is a new generation of green and environmentally friendly ship. Compared with traditional fuel-propelled ships, it can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and significantly reduce nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide emissions.

This project is part of "K"Line's 2050 environmental vision. The contracted project is 2 ships. After Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing), "K"Line has acquired more than 10 dual-fuel vehicle carriers, it has formed a larger batch scale.

"K"Line confirmed the order on September 21. According to VesselsValue's estimates, the offer price of a 7000-park dual-fuel vehicle carrier is about 88 million U.S. dollars. Based on this calculation, the total value of these two new ships is approximately US$176 million.

Won another order for a 7000CEU dual-fuel carrier from EPS

On September 17, Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) and Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) of Singapore signed another contract for the construction of a 7000CEU dual-fuel vehicle carrier in the form of a "cloud contract".

This is an additional order within a short period of time after the two parties signed a contract for the construction of 4+2 7000PCTC dual-fuel vessels on June 24.

This project is about 199.90 meters in length, 38.00 meters in width, 7,000CEU with a total tonnage of 72,000DWT, and is used to load various vehicles and heavy ro-ro cargo.

This series of dual-fuel vehicle carriers can meet Tier III emission standards. Through LNG fuel and a number of environmental protection technologies, approximately 99% of sulfur oxides, 80% of nitrogen oxides, 90% of particulate matter and 30% of carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced. It is a new generation of environmentally friendly ships.

Since the beginning of this year, the vehicle carrier market has recovered. According to Clarkson's statistics, there were 22 new orders for vehicle carriers in the first eight months of this year, of which 8 orders were received by Jinling Shipyard, and 5 large-scale ro-ro ships were delivered in the first half of this year, which demonstrates the high recognition and trust of international shipowners to Jinling Shipyard's ro-ro brand performance over the years.
