CNOOC signed the first and largest LNG fuel ship gas supply contract in China xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-09-14 15:18

CNOOC held the "Signing Ceremony of the First Batch of LNG Single Fuel-Powered Ship Gas Supply Contracts" in Guangzhou, and signed LNG supply contracts with Guangdong Navigation Group and Guangxi Jinxiang Shipping.
 
The gas supply contract includes a total of 150 new ships, which is the first of its kind in China with such a large number of ships and large gas supply scale. This marks the application of clean energy LNG-powered ships in the Pearl River Basin, and the gasification of the Pearl River has made a new breakthrough.
 
The 150 ships contracted this time are designed with the concept of green ships, adopting LNG single fuel power system, and have carried out serialized and standardized research and design in terms of ship type, gas consumption, and safety monitoring.
 
According to the contract, the first batch of 50 LNG single-fuel ships of GNG will be delivered at the end of September 2021, and all delivery will be completed by the end of March 2022. Guangxi Jinxiang Shipping's 100 LNG single-fuel ships will be delivered in April 2022. They will be delivered in succession from January to December 2023.
 
CNOOC will provide LNG bunkering services with for this batch of ships, and make every effort to build a demonstration project of LNG single fuel-powered ships.
