DSIC awarded two 85,000DWT bulk carrier orders by Huachen Financial Leasing xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-07-27 15:03

On July 26, the signing ceremony of the project of building two 85,000DWT bulk carriers was successfully held between China Shipbuilding and DSIC, as the joint seller, and Shandong Huachen Financial Leasing.
 
The vessels signed this time are the same type of the two 85,000DWT bulk carriers signed by the two parties before, and also the latest one of the same type 85,000DWT bulk carriers undertaken by DSIC since 2019.
 
The contracted vessel will be built by DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry. The vessel is an post panamax bulk carrier with a length of 227.2 meters, a width of 36 meters, a depth of 20.35 meters, a design draft of 11.5 meters and a sailing range of 25,000 nautical miles.
 
Compared with the traditional Kamsarmax bulk carrier, this type of ship has the advantages of shallow draft, large tank capacity and load capacity, harbor suitability. It meets the requirements of the latest effective regulations, and EEDI Phase II, and has a strong market competitiveness.
