Evergreen Marine's revenue and profit both hit record highs in May.
On June 8, Evergreen announced its May results. The monthly revenue reached NT$34.442 billion (approximately RMB 7.937 billion), an increase of 145.52% year-on-year; Net profit after tax was NT$17.166 billion (approximately RMB 39.56), an increase of 1312.84% year-on-year, breaking the single-month historical record.
The level of revenue and profitability of Evergreen can be described as "burst." As SCFI continues to rise, it is estimated that the contract price of the Americas line will rise astonishingly, which will be reflected in the June revenue figures, further boosting the performance of Evergreen in June.
It is worth noting that, in the current situation where there is a shortage of ships in the shipping market, Evergreen has 60 new ships to be delivered, and it is expected to become the biggest winner in this wave of maritime competition.
Evergreen currently has 202 ships in its fleet. Among the 60 new ships to be delivered, 33 ships will be put into operation within this year, 13 ships have been delivered by June, and 20 ships will be delivered in the second half of the year. The joining of the new ship gives Evergreen more room for growth in the second half of the year.
