Guangzhou Shipyard International delivered a 55,000 DWT tanker xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2021-06-10 16:41


On June 9, "MARITIME GUARDIAN", a 55,000 DWT product/chemical tanker No.6, built by Guangzhou Shipyard International for IMC of Singapore and CSSC Leasing, completed cloud signing and delivery of the vessel under the connection between Shanghai and Guangzhou.
 
"MARITIME GUARDIAN" (Vessel No. 17121017) is the 6th vessel in the 8 MR product/chemical tanker construction contract signed by GSI with IMC and CSSC Leasing. It is the largest tonnage vessel type in the medium range chemical/product tanker class.

The ship meets IMO's Tier 3 standard for nitrogen oxide emission from ships, meets the emission requirements of nitrogen oxide emission control area, is equipped with scrubbers, meets the class II chemical carrier standard, and is a model of IMO II chemical tanker with energy saving, environmental protection, high efficiency and modernization.

On May 7, the same series of No.5 ship " MARITIME GRACIOUS" was delivered. One month later, the No.6 ship successfully realized the cloud delivery, maintaining the "balanced and orderly" delivery of one ship per month, fully demonstrating the construction strength of MR ship, the master ship type of Guangzhou Shipyard International.
 
Due to the excellent construction quality, the owner also gave a reward of 10,000 US dollars.
