Since 2021, under the background of the overall recovery of the global shipbuilding market, Chinese shipbuilders have received a substantial increase in new orders, reversing the overall downward trend in recent years.
 
As of May 25, Chinese shipyards' hand-held orders reached 81.92 million DWT (30.687,000 CGT), maintaining positive growth for four consecutive months. Handheld order guarantees have reached 2.2 years, and many ship delivery dates have been scheduled to 2024. .
 
From the perspective of hand-held order enterprises, the top five shipyards are Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding, Jiangnan Shipbuilding, DSIC and New Times Shipbuilding.
 
The total number of orders held by the top ten shipyards accounted for 62.1% of the domestic market share, 3% higher than that of the top 10 shipyards at the end of 2020.
 
From the perspective of hand-held ship type, compared with the end of 2020, the proportion of container ships increased significantly, from 21.1% to 33.1%; LPG ship, LNG ship and other ship types are basically unchanged; The proportion of bulk carriers and oil tankers shrank from 29.9% and 18.2% to 25.6% and 13.9% respectively.
