On May 18, Huangpu Wenchong, a subsidiary of CSSC, signed for the delivery of 2,750 TEU container ship No.4 "HONIARA CHIEF" (H5545), built for Singapore's China Navigation Company Limited (CNCo).
Ship No. 4, H5545, is the last of the four 2750 TEU series container ships built by Huangpu Wenchong for Swire Shipping and is the largest container ship currently being built at Huangpu Wenchong Longxue plant.
This type 2750TEU container has a length of 186 meters, a width of 35.2 meters, a depth of 17.1 meters, and a design draft of 8.5 meters. It is equipped with a single low-speed main engine, a single fixed propeller. The hull has a straight bow and a square stern.
The ship adopts modern energy saving design, which is more energy saving and environmental protection than the shipowner's existing ships. It is mainly used for the transportation of dry cargo containers, reefer containers, and dangerous cargo containers.
