China's shipping industry exported 1,499 ships worth 42.14 billion yuan in the first four months of this year, up 12.8% year-on-year from 2020, according to the General Administration of Customs on its website on May 7.
 
In April this year,China's shipbuilding industry exported 471 ships, with a total export value of 11.53 billion yuan in April; In April 2020,China's ship export volume was 353 ships, with a total export value of 9.51 billion yuan.
 
From January to April this year, China exported 1,499 ships with a total export value of 42.14 billion yuan. In the first four months of 2020, 1,329 ships were exported, with a total export value of 35.43 billion yuan.
