At the 2021 Dongfeng Motor Brands Spring Ceremony held on April 17, COSCO SHIPPING, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and China Mobile jointly announced the kickoff of strategic cooperation on self-driving vehicles for 5G smart ports. The three parties will commit to building a future auto ecology, working together to create a total solution to self-driving experience at smart ports, as part of their efforts to advance the development of “5G+smart port” in China.

Director of the Board and President of COSCO SHIPPING, Mr. Fu Gangfeng, attended both the Spring Ceremony and the tripartite cooperation launching ceremony.

After the event, COSCO SHIPPING Ports, Dongfeng Trucks, and China Mobile (Shanghai) signed a letter of intent for strategic cooperation. Executive Vice President of COSCO SHIPPING Mr. Huang Xiaowen attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing of the document. Relevant heads of the Strategy & Corporate Management Division, Operating Management Division, and Technology & Information Management Division were also present at the signing ceremony.

This partnership marks another endeavor among the three parties to seek further cooperation since the launch of China's first 5G full-scene application smart port on May 11, 2020—an outcome also achieved under the tripartite partnership.
