Jiangnan Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, successfully delivered a 28,000CBM LNG Floating Regasification Unit (FRU).

The unit is a small FRU with the largest regasification capacity in Type C tank. Upon delivery, the unit will undergo terminal regasification trials in Africa and serve local infrastructure. The delivery of this unit also marks a key step for the company from shipbuilding markets to offshore markets.

The unit has a total length of 94.90 m, a molded width of 38.4 m, a molded depth of 19.8 m, a design draft of 6.70 m and a structural draft of 7.00 m, five sets of regasification modules, each with a regasification capacity of 67 T / h and a loading capacity of about 14000 t.

This ship is classified into BV and is subject to the offshore painting standard (NORSOK M501). As an offshore platform, the platform must meet the requirements of offshore regulations.

The FRU adopts IMO C tank with a built-in tank length of 74.5 meters, which is more than twice the conventional tank length.

It is reported that FRU will leave the factory tomorrow and embark on the journey to Africa.
