Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering signed a contract with Xiamen Financial Leasing and COSCO Shipping Bulk for the construction of eight methanol READY  64,000DWT bulk carriers.
 
In recent years, Xiangyu SOE responds to the development trend of green and low-carbon shipping, fully grasps the market opportunities, explores the bulk carrier market, focuses on technological innovation and process optimization. 
 
At present Xiangyu SOE's total order quantity of Ultramax vessels has exceeded 100, which is ranked the first among Chinese shipyards. 
 
The eight 64,000DWT methanol READY vessels signed adopt new ship materials and technologies, and they are proposed to take methanol fuel as the clean fuel.
