On November 19, 2020, Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration issued the first qualification certificate to Shanghai CMA CGM International Ship Management in Lingang New Area. The company became the first wholly foreign-owned enterprise in Shanghai to obtain the qualification of a seafarer dispatch agency.
After obtaining the qualifications, the company can directly dispatch seafarers to the company, which will save hundreds of thousands of yuan in cost each year, and at the same time provide more employment opportunities for Chinese seafarers.
After the establishment of Lingang New Area, various shipping companies have been actively introduced, and seafarer dispatch agencies registered or operating in the Lingang New Area shall apply for and approve within the area.
On July 24 this year, with the joint efforts of all parties, Shanghai CMA CGM International Ship Management successfully settled in Lingang New Area.
