On November 18, COSCO SHIPPING Bulk’s first customized ship for Chinalco Guinea project, "HUI ZHI HAI" (N946), was successfully christened.
The ship is the first ship of 8 210,000 dwt bulk carriers built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) for COSCO Shipping Bulk.
With a total length of 299.95m, a width of 50m, a depth of 25m and a design speed of 14.5 knots, the Newcastle bulk carrier is a new generation of large bulk carriers with advanced technology and features of "intelligence, green, environmental protection, energy-saving and safety".
"HUI ZHI HAI" is the first of eight new generation 210,000 dwt Newcastle bulk carriers contracted by COSCO SHIPPING Bulk and COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou). It is also the first of 16 ships in the same batch.
After the ship is delivered, it will undertake the transportation guarantee task of Chinalco's Guinea project, creating greater value for the company and customers.
