On October 29, at the 14th SHIPTEC CHINA, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry said that it would make full efforts to enter the LNG carrier market.

Over the years, DSIC has been working with GTT and many classification societies, and through continuous research and development, based on NO.96 and MARK III technologies respectively, it has completed the research and development of 140,000 m3, 150,000 m3, 175,000 m3 and other products, which have been recognized by GTT and classification societies.

At the same time, DSIC has completed the world's largest No.96 LNG carrier simulation module and fully enclosed MARKIII LNG carrier simulation module, which have been recognized by France GTT, CCS, LR, DNV-GL, ABS, BV and other major classification societies.

At present, DSIC is updating the design of 175,000 cubic meters No.96 LNG ship, and will complete the contract design within this year, to provide technical support for the contract of new construction projects, and to fully enter the LNG carrier market.

Currently, Hudong Zhonghua has mature technology in building large LNG ships, and domestic shipyards are also vigorously developing LNG ship construction market. This time, DSIC announced its entry into the LNG carrier market, hoping to break more technical plateaus.
