DACKS wins orders for two bulk carriers xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-09-24 14:41


Santoku Senpaku, a Japanese shipowner, has again ordered two Handymax bulk carriers from Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (DACKS).

Allied Shipbroking reported that the owner had ordered two 61,000 dwt bulk carriers from DACKS, with delivery scheduled for 2022. The value of the contract was not disclosed, but the current order price for 61,000 dwt of bulk carriers is around $23 million.

In addition to the latest order, the owner is also building two handymax bulk carriers of the same type at DACKS. Two new ships have been launched and are scheduled for delivery this year.

Currently, Santoku Senpaku has 62 ships, including 50 bulk carriers, according to VesselsValue.
