On September 7, CNOOC announced that Li Yong was appointed director, general manager of CNOOC, and removed from his position as deputy general manager of SINOPEC.

Mr. Li previously served as vice president and party member of SINOPEC.

After more than 30 years of reform and development, CNOOC has developed into an international energy company with a prominent main business, complete industrial chain and business operations in more than 40 countries and regions.

The company has formed five business sectors, including oil and gas exploration and development, professional technical services, refining and sales, natural gas and power generation, and financial services, and its sustainable development ability has been significantly improved.

In 2019, CNOOC ranked No. 63 on Fortune's List of the World's top 500 companies. CNOOC ranks 17th in global oil and gas brand value ranking and 8th in brand value appreciation ranking.
