On August 19, Group Chairman Miao Jianmin met with Zhang Xiaolun, Chairman of China National Machinery Industry Corporation Ltd. (Sinomach) in Beijing.
Zhang Xiaolun introduced the evolution, industrial layout and advantages of Sinomach, as well as the key measures for epidemic prevention and control. Miao Jianmin introduced the development of China Merchants Group's core business sectors in recent years. He said that since the outbreak of COVID-19, Sinomach had shared the worries and responsibilities of the country, serving as a pillar of the nation, which is admirable. Miao Jianmin stressed that the two Groups are both central SOEs and are highly complementary with leading advantages in their respective industries. The two Groups have also cooperated closely in "Belt and Road" landmark projects such as the China-Belarus Industrial Park. He hoped that the two Groups could further strengthen exchanges and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
