On July 31, ABB signed a purchase agreement with Shanghai Ming Wah Shipping, a subsidiary of China Merchants Group, to provide a fleet oriented ABB Ability™ Tekomar XPERT ship engine performance digital solution for Shanghai Ming Wah's 12 bulk cargo ships.
In February 2019, ABB once provided service of Tekomar XPERT digital solution for two ships of Shanghai Ming Wah, , which was highly appraised by Shanghai Ming Wah.
In June of the same year, Shanghai Ming Wah formally ordered Tekomar XPERT digital solution for its four bulk carriers (Jinhai, Binhai, Jingdian and Xingwang).
In July, Shanghai Ming Wah renewed Tekomar XPERT digital solution for the four vessels and added the service to eight others.
