Yangzijiang's profit in Q2 was nearly 800 million! xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-08-07 16:47

Yangzijiang’s net profit in the second quarter was 774 million yuan, and orders in the first half year increased to more than 500 million US dollars.

In the second quarter, the group's total revenue was 4.8 billion yuan and its net profit was 774 million yuan.
On August 5th, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding revealed its second-quarter results. The group's total revenue in the second quarter of 2020 fell to 4.8 billion yuan due to a decline in trading revenue.

Among them, the core shipbuilding business revenue was 3 billion yuan, basically the same as 3.1 billion yuan in the same period last year. In the second quarter, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding delivered a total of 16 new ships, compared with 18 ships in the same period last year.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's trading revenue fell to 1 billion yuan in the second quarter from 3.2 billion yuan a year earlier, mainly due to lower trading volumes.

Revenue from other ship-related businesses such as shipping logistics & chartering, ship design services and ship breaking rose to 180 million yuan in the second quarter, up slightly from 179 million yuan in the same period last year.

Despite the market deterioration, Yangzijiang received orders of $517 million in the first half of this year, more than double the amount of the same period last year.
