After a delay of nearly half a year, the three Kamsarmax bulk carriers acquired by China Development Bank Leasing from Japanese owner Nisshin Kaiun have finally been handed over.

In January this year, CDB Leasing reached an agreement with Nisshin Kaiun to purchase three Kamsarmax bulk carriers, Trustn Trader I and Trustn Trader II, both built in 2015, and Falcon Trader built in 2016.

Nisshin Kaiun is Japan's third-largest independent shipowner after Shoei Kisen and Nissen Shipping.

As the only leasing business platform of China Development Bank (CDB), CDB Leasing has been engaged in ship chartering business since 2008 and is one of the earliest leasing companies in China.

By the end of December 31, 2019, there are a total of 86 vessels under CDB Leasing (and another 25 bulk carriers under construction), including 63 bulk carriers, 15 container ships, 4 oil carriers, 2 LNG carriers and 2 dredgers.
