Maersk's 1st automated warehouse in China came into operation Maersk 2020-07-17 15:03


On the 15th of July, Maersk's first fully automated warehouse in China came into operation. Located in Ningbo, it is part of Maersk's Meishan International Logistics Center project, which is managed by Maersk Joint Venture. The new facility expands Maersk’s logistics footprint and the new state of the art technology will allow us to serve our customers'supply chain needs.
 
“With 50,000 CBM storage capacity, Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) and 40 AGVs in place, Maersk can offer more efficient warehouse operations and provide better end-to-end solution to our international customers.” said Caroline Wu, Managing Director of Maersk Greater China, during the inauguration ceremony.
