June 12, Group President Hu Jianhua met with Shen Xiaoming, Deputy Secretary of Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPC and Governor of Hainan province. Director of the Group Wang Cuijun and, Assistant President of the Group and Chairman of China Merchants Hoi Tung, Li Yadong attended the meeting.
Shen Xiaoming expressed that China Merchants Group paid a visit to Hainan immediately after the publication of the master plan for the Hainan Free Trade Port, which fully embodied the strategic vision of China Merchants Group. Besides, he expressed sincere gratitude to China Merchants Group's active participation in the construction of Hainan pilot free trade zone and free trade port in the past two years. He hoped that China Merchants Group would continue to provide strong support to Hainan's comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up.
Hu Jianhua pointed out that China Merchants Group attached great importance to the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. Since the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement in July 2018, the close cooperation between the two sides has achieved remarkable results. China Merchants Group will uphold to strategic principles, give play to its advantages in allocating resources and achieve mutual benefit, win-win and common development through a pragmatic and innovative cooperation model.
