1.China's first domestically built polar icebreaker Xuelong 2 completed its 45-day maintenance in Shanghai on Friday.

2.The Shenzhen government,PetroChina,Shenzhen Gas Group and Yantai Port Group have signed an agreement to jointly develop China's first offshore LNG bunkering terminal.

3.Japanese owner Masumoto Shipbuilding contracts with Nantong Cosco KHI ship Engineering (NACKS) for the construction of up to two 82,000 dwt kamsarmax bulk carriers.

4.China Railway Construction (CRCC) has placed an order at Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) for the construction of a crane vessel.

5.Wisdom Marine,the largest bulk shipping operator in Taiwan,has placed order at two Japanese yards for the construction of five bulk carriers in total.

6.The Government will amend the Merchant Shipping Regulation, the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution by Garbage) Regulation.
 
7.China's index of export container transport edged down in the past week, according to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange.

8.China’s imports of both semi-finished and finished steel products surged in April, as prices and demand in China were stronger than in other markets.
