On June 1, Master Plan for Hainan Free Trade Port was officially announced. On the same day, Hainan Maritime Safety Administration issued a Certificate of Ship’s Nationality for "COSCO SHIPPING XING WANG".
"COSCO SHIPPING XING WANG" to be launched in the shipyard of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) will become the first cargo ship registered with "YANG PU CHINA" as its port of registry.
On April 13 this year, Yangpu signed ship registration with COSCO Shipping, and signed ship financial leasing agreements with ICBC and COSCO SHIPPING.
According to the agreement, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers will build a pulp ship with a capacity of 62000 dwt in the shipyard of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) as the first ship registered in "YANG PU CHINA".
ICBC shipping finance leasing project is the first business of SPV set up by ICBC Leasing in Yangpu, with a cost of 227 million yuan and a financing amount of 165 million yuan.
"COSCO SHIPPING XING WANG" with a deadweight of 62,000 dwt is expected to be put into operation in mid-June, and another pulp ship (the sister ship of "COSCO SHIPPING XING WANG") is also speeding up the construction progress, which is expected to be put into operation in July this year .
