On May 19, China Classification Society (CCS) held a 5G + smart ship inspection video conference.
CCS Zhejiang and China Mobile Zhejiang signed a memorandum of cooperation to jointly unveil the "New Inspection Technology and Equipment Laboratory" Zhejiang base.
According to the memorandum of cooperation, the two sides will jointly explore the application of 5G + ship remote inspection, 5G + UAV close inspection and 5G technology in smart ship, intelligent shipping, information service, etc.
On March 24 this year, during the epidemic, the ship "TIAN SHUN HE" was undergoing a special "physical examination" at COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan).
A number of CCS surveyors from Zhoushan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Beijing and other places used "5G + Industrial AR technology" to conduct remote inspections such as close-up inspection and boiler internal inspection of ballast tanks.
"5G + Industrial AR technology" can transmit the video information collected by AR glasses to the cloud in real time, and the surveyor and multi-site expert teams can participate in the "remote inspection" through multiple connections.
The technology also fills the blank of remote detection in Zhoushan ship repair and construction industry.
After the signing of this cooperation, the two sides will further explore the application and cooperation in the areas of ship remote inspection and machine vision quality inspection based on 5G network.
