VLCC orders of DSIC exceeded 100! xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-05-19 16:28

On May 18, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, China Shipbuilding Trading and China Merchants Energy Shipping signed a construction contract for two 307,000 DWT VLCCs in Beijing, Hong Kong and Dalian in the form of "cloud contract".

At present, the VLCC order of DSIC has exceeded 100 vessels.

The two VLCCs signed this time are additional orders following the signing of four VLCCs by CMES and DSIC in November last year.

The contracted 307,000 DWT crude carrier No.99 plans to install the air lubrication system on the vessel for the first time, and the 307,000 DWT crude carrier No.100 will adopt the new-generation self-developed sail booster system.

DSIC has so far accepted orders for a total of 30 large ships from CMES, including 2 110,000 DWT product oil tankers, 5 180,000 DWT bulk carriers, and 23 300,000 DWT ultra-large crude oil carriers. At present, 26 ships have been successfully delivered and 4 are under construction.
