Guangxin Shipbuilding sold two platform supply ships xinde marine news Sarah Yu 2020-05-13 16:38

On the morning of May 12, Guangxin Shipbuilding & Heavy Industry held a contract signing ceremony with Tianjin Zhihai Shipping for the sale of two 78m platform supply vessels.

Affected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak spreading around the world, the offshore market continues to be sluggish, and the international oil price plummeting, and other adverse factors have brought difficulties to ship sales and chartering.

To overcome the severe impact of COVID-19, Guangxin Shipbuilding finally reached the purchase intention with Tianjin Zhihai Shipping after more than 4 months, and successfully signed the contract.

Tianjin Zhihai Shipping currently has three tugs and one ro-ro passenger ship. Two new ships under construction are about to operate, with a total tonnage of 17,000 tons.
