1.CDB Leasing orders 8 210,000-ton bulk carriers at 3 shipyards for USD 417.6 million.

2.MPA and NUS Enterprise announced that 12 start-ups from Port Innovation Ecosystem Reimagined @ BLOCK71 (PIER71)’s SPC 2019 have been awarded S$50,000.
 
3.CNOOC the listed unit of the largest producer of offshore crude oil and natural gas in China, reported decreased revenue for the first quarter of 2020.

4.Chu Kong Shipping Enterprises has taken a 60% stake in local ferry operator New World First Ferry Services for HK$232.8m from parent company NWS Holdings. 
 
5.On April 30,Guangdong MSA successfully launched the nation's first electronic certificate for the crew's service book.

6.Hong Kong's Marine Department will resume all services, with the exception of surveying outside of Hong Kong, from May 4 after a suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
