Jiangsu's liquid natural gas (LNG) terminal received the 200th LNG ship from Australia on January 15, in response to rallied consumption of the material following China's ambitious conversion to gas for winter heating, state media Xinhua News Agency reported.

Jiangsu, and even China, has been greatly relying on international LNG market for supply, of which Australia has always been a major exporter to China.
A total of 17 million tonnes of LNG has arrived at Yangkou port in Jiangsu province since the operation of the terminal in May, 2011, playing a significant role in securing supply for eastern China regions.
