On April 13, the two-year anniversary of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Pilot Zone started signing activities, which were held in Haikou and the branch venues of cities in Hainan.

COSCO Shipping Group was invited to participate in the event and signed four agreements.

According to the agreement, COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers will build a 62000 DWT multi-purpose pulp ship in Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry's Dalian yard. As the first ship, it will be registered in "Yangpu, China".

COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation and Shanghai PANASIA Shipping will actively promote their settlement in Yangpu, support the construction of Yangpu regional shipping hub and logistics center.

A day earlier, Hainan Province Government and Cosco Shipping Group held a working meeting in Haikou to discuss cooperation issues.

The two sides have made positive progress in cooperation on ship registration, route layout and port capacity improvement, and hope to strengthen cooperation in policy research on free trade ports, building regional shipping hubs, developing shipping services and accelerating port infrastructure construction.
