On the afternoon of April 9, Piraeus Port Authority S.A.(PPA) donated 4,000 surgical masks to METAXA Cancer Hospital of Piraeus to cope with the COVID-19 epidemic situation. Capt. Weng Lin, Vice President of PPA said COSCO SHIPPING and PPA will continue to support the local community to fight against the epidemic.
Mr. Charalampos Toumpekis, Chairman of METAXA Hospital, expressed gratitude to PPA for its donation and praised the company for taking social responsibility to protect medical workers during these challenging times.
Established in 1959, METAXA Cancer Hospital of Piraeus is the second largest public hospital in Piraeus.
